SuperSiC Breaks Ground On New Penang Semiconductor Facility

We’re honoured to witness the groundbreaking of SuperSiC (浙江晶瑞电子) Malaysia’s first manufacturing facility at Penang Technology Park @ Bertam, a strategic milestone for both the Penang and Malaysia’s semiconductor industry.

As a subsidiary of Zhejiang Jingsheng Mechanical & Electrical (JSG), a global leader in compound semiconductor materials, SuperSiC Malaysia will serve as a key strategic hub in the region.

The new 40,000 sqm facility is expected to reach an annual production capacity of
240,000 8-inch silicon carbide wafers upon completion of Phase 1, reinforcing global supply chain resilience and advancing next-generation power electronics.

We look forward to growing with JSG and strengthening Malaysia’s position in the global semiconductor value chain.

Among the distinguished guests were JSG Chairman Dr. Cao Jianwei, Consul General of China in Penang Zhou Youbin, MIDA Domestic Investment Director Sukri Abu Bakar, InvestPenang Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Loo Lee Lian, Ideal Property Group Chief Operating Officer Dato Goh Teng Whoo, and Dato Connie Ang.
